Kerry Kuehn

Vice President of Learning Solutions

"I wanted to create a company that was truly education-focused within the EHR marketplace. I wanted a company that truly partnered with hospitals’ own resources to create sustainable solutions for learning, versus simply coming in and getting over the go-live hump—which often seemed to be the focus!"

Kerry Kuehn founded Sedona Learning Solutions in 2006. This opportunity allowed him to combine his education background and his years of adult learning expertise, which include several years of independent EMR consulting on project management, curriculum design and instructional delivery.

In its first two years, Sedona grew to a team of more than 40 learning professionals working on projects ranging in complexity from simple software upgrades to the opening of a new 150-bed facility with full stage 7 CPOE and EMR for one of the largest health systems in the Midwest!

Kerry graduated from the University of Wisconsin–Eau Claire in 1992 with a Bachelor of Arts in Education. From there, he transitioned into corporate and adult learning. He focused on comprehensively managing, designing and delivering IT education in the insurance industry, and published articles on e-learning methods in various trade magazines.

This path led Kerry to Informatics and the Electronic Medical Record education field. In 2002, he accepted a role with Cerner’s Virtual University, and worked with a variety of hospital clients nationwide in their paths to EMR implementation.

Today, Kerry loves leading Sedona EHR implementation projects, and designing e-learning education programs. He thrives on getting elbows deep in everyday client projects, and enjoys the satisfaction of finding the right solution for each client.

Beyond creating custom solutions for clients, Kerry enjoys the country-wide travel opportunities that his role provides. In his free time, Kerry spends as much time as he can on or near the water, and is an avid football fan.
