Interior Health Authority Selects Sedona Learning Solutions as Training Partner
Welcome Interior Health Authority to the Sedona Family! Interior Health is a regional health authority in British Columbia Canada. They are a 22 hospital system serving the southern interior region of British Columbia. Interior Health recently contracted with Sedona to provide eLearning tutorials, micro refreshers and job aids for their physician, nursing, pharmacy and HIM departments as well as a classroom guide for nursing that will complement and build on their tutorials for a more in-depth experience.
Over the past year, there has been a lot of exciting work happening at Royal Inland Hospital in preparation for the Advancing Care Electronically (ACE Project). This June, under the banner of ACE, Royal Inland Hospital will become Interior Health’s very first fully digital hospital, leading the way for more sites to come across the region, and helping to establish the blueprint for a stronger, more interconnected Interior Health.

ACE is focused on supporting patient quality and safety through electronic charting. This means transitioning away from paper-based charting towards a streamlined, electronic environment – with real-time updates and alerts. It means better information, better outcomes, and a better experience for everyone.
Many of the most common concerns are related to education and training. In preparation for ACE, the team and staff at RIH are partnering with Sedona Learning Solutions to provide Physicians with approximately 6 hours of training, and Nurses will receive 16 hours of training which will include online eLearning, 1:1 training and practice, classroom sessions, and at-the-elbow support.
